Training is also key; learning how to do something the right way instead of finding out the hard way via trial and error.
Liquid roofing is a great example of something that looks easy enough to apply, but if you don’t get it right, you’re going to have problems further down the line.
That’s why local company, Group Tegula, enrolled a group of their roofers on to LWRA Specialist Applied Skills Programme (SAP) for the Liquid Roofing Operative
The LRWA SAP programme is a fully grant aided 18-month training programme that leads to a Level 2 Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Liquid Applied Roofing.
The course consists of 12 months classroom and practical training followed by a 6-month period of on-site assessment. Once completed each candidate will achieve an NVQ Level 2 qualification.
